Aequel provides Spark at spark.gives. This policy describes what information we collect when you use the product, why we collect it, and how Aequel handles it.
What we collect
Aequel collects the information you provide when you use Spark, such as your name, email, account profile details, support messages, and anything you submit in the product. We also collect technical and usage data such as device information, browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, session activity, and engagement with Spark features.
How we use information
Aequel uses this information to operate Spark, authenticate users, personalize the experience, process payments if applicable, communicate with you, prevent abuse, improve the product, and understand how Spark is used so we can make it better.
Authentication (Clerk)
Aequel uses Clerk, Inc. for Spark account creation, sign-in, session management, and related security features. When you authenticate, Clerk processes certain personal data on our behalf as a service provider. How Clerk handles that information is described in Clerk's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which also apply to your use of those authentication features.
Sharing
Aequel may share information with its affiliates and with service providers that help run Spark, including Clerk (authentication), as well as hosting, analytics, communications, and payment providers. We may also share information if required by law, to enforce these terms, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Retention
Aequel keeps personal information for as long as needed to provide Spark, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable timeframe, subject to backup and legal retention requirements.
Your choices
You can update certain account information from your profile, unsubscribe from non-essential emails, and request deletion of your account or personal data where applicable. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information.
Security
Aequel uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
